Guest Editor Gary Paul Nabhan

The winter issue of Mizna: Prose, Poetry, and Art is nearly here! This issue is guest edited by Gary Paul Nabhan, the internationally-celebrated nature writer, agrarian activist, and ethnobiologist, and features writing from Naomi Shihab Nye, an interview with Moheb Soliman by Marwa Helal, and the artwork of Monira Al Qadiri.

On February 23, 2017 we're teaming up with long-time Mizna partner Northern Lights.mn and their Anthropocene Awareness Association series to present a panel discussion on the topic of the environment in the Arab world and its intersections in Arab America. It will be led by guest editor Gary Paul Nabhan and will also include Tami Mohamed Brown, Dawud Mulla, Moheb Soliman, and others, and showcase a video by our featured environment issue artist and 2017 Northern Spark project collaborator Monira Al Qadiri.

Hosted by Studio Z in Lowertown, 275 4th St E Suite 200, St Paul, MN 55101
February 23, 7pm
