The Summer 2023 issue of Mizna was originally intended to be an un-themed issue, but following the selection process, the editorial team noticed an emerging constellation of works on myth, memory, and folklore in its foundational pieces and retroactively titled the issue Mizna: Myth and Memory.
Mizna 24.1 will launch at the Loft Literary Center’s Wordplay Festival in Minneapolis on July 8th, 2023 at 3pm on the Open Book Stage.
The event includes readings from George Abraham, Sarah Cypher, Zeina Hashem Beck, and Lena Khalaf Tuffaha.Recent books from each author will be available.
Join us for a FULL DAY of Wordplay activities!
10am–7pm: visit the Mizna booth for special deals on author books and Mizna journals
3pm: Launch event for Mizna: Myth and Memory at the Open Book Stage
4pm: Book signings with the authors at the Open Book Stage
