Join us for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating the Arabic language at a variety of activity stations! All families welcome, including those new to Arabic. All children must come with an adult.

> THEATER GAMES with Taous Khazem and Mohammed Yabdri (PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED!)*
Play popular theatre games that work with the actor’s body, voice and imagination in English and Arabic, led by two professional actors.
– Three sessions: 1:10pm–1:40pm / 1:50pm–2:20pm / 2:30pm–3pm

Every 15 minutes, we’ll switch from Arabic drumming to Arabic stories.
> CALLIGRAPHY with Jehad Adwan
Have your name written in Arabic calligraphy and try writing some Arabic words yourself.
> HENNA with Zehra Rizvi & Meher Khan
Have your hands decorated with “henna,” traditional, temporary, plant-based body art.
> LANTERN CRAFT
Make and decorate an Arabic paper lantern, a fanoos, to take home with you.
> COLORING
Pages of Arabic-inspired designs and images will be on hand to color and take home.
