Description
Take My Sorrow and Sew Me a Heart Its Size: A Gaza Folio, a special printed and online collection of writing and art from Palestinian artists from Gaza. Guest-edited by exiled Gazan poet and Mizna Fellow Yahya Ashour, this folio is a fully bilingual anthology of work. The folio, as Ashour writes in his foreword, “is not a substitute for the full reality of what is happening in Gaza, nor does it attempt to resolve any so-called conflict in which the world has chosen to trap and crush us. The truth is as clear as the sun. It blinds those who are forever chasing proof or profit like a dog chasing a bone…. These are texts that try to scream and expose everything, yet language collapses before them, unable to carry the weight.”
The full list of contributors include Hisham AbdelAl, Nadia Abujayab, Bayan Abu Nahla, Heba Alagha, Mariam Alkhateeb, Sara Alsweirki, Hala Alyan, Hamed Ashour, Eman Basher, Deema Dalloul, Nidal Faqaawi, Anees Ghanima, Hanan Habashi, Malak Haw, Heba Hayek, Hanaa Ibrahim, Khaled Jumaa, Wisam Owaida, Nasser Rabah, and Nour Saqar.
