Michelle Baroody
Film Programming Curator
Michelle Baroody received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Minnesota in 2019. Her research interests include archival studies, film history and theory, and Arab American studies. She has worked with Mizna’s film team in various capacities since 2012, including serving as curator for the Mizna Film Series and annual Arab Film Festival. She also participates in several other film programming projects in Minnesota and beyond. Baroody is the co-director of Archives on Screen, Twin Cities, and she is volunteer projectionist at the Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis. She is currently working on a book project examining the Arab American archive.
