Reshaping Our World: Cinema without Borders
In solidarity with the majority Muslim countries recently targeted by the presidential travel ban and with Minnesota immigrants and refugees affected by the chaos left in its wake, Mizna—the Arab American arts organization—joins with Walker Moving Image to screen films from Africa and the Middle East. The program draws from the rich tradition of filmmaking in these regions to screen both classic and contemporary films that redefine and reshape the landscape of stereotyped representations through cinematic technique and storytelling.   MORE >>
Winter & Spring Arabic Language Classes
Mizna is offering classes in spoken and written Arabic taught by Dunia Khouri and Abdelkader Hamouchi. Classes will take place in Mizna's office in St. Paul.

Mizna is a Twin Cities non-profit arts organization that promotes contemporary expressions of Arab American culture. We publish the literary journal Mizna: Prose, Poetry and Art Exploring Arab America, produce the Twin Cities Arab Film Festival, and offer varied other readings, performances, art projects, and community events involving an exceptionally talented and diverse range of local, national, and international Arab American artists.
