Learn how to play the Arabic drum (derbeke, darbuka, doumbek, Arabic tabla) with Professor Khaldoun Samman in an ensemble setting. Even if you've never played this drum, you will learn all the important rhythms of Arabic music.   MORE >>
Call for Papers | RAWI+Mizna Lit Gathering
RAWI+Mizna 6th National Lit Gathering will take place at Open Book, which houses the Loft Literary Center, in Minneapolis, MN, from June 16 to 18, 2016. We welcome paper, performance, workshop, discussion and panel proposals. We are especially interested in proposals for roundtable discussions and creative writing workshops.
