Virtual Reading: I am Deliberate and Afraid of Nothing

Mizna + Asian American Writers’ Workshop partnered to present our first virtual reading! I Am Deliberate And Afraid of Nothing: Poetry, Prose, and Protest, a reading of Mizna authors went live on Facebook on Thursday, March 26, featuring authors Andrea Abi-Karam, Romaissaa Benzizoune, and Sham-e-Ali Nayeem. This livestream is a joyous first collaboration between Mizna and AAWW. This event was facilitated by AAWW’s guest curator Bushra Rehman and Mizna’s executive and artistic director Lana S. Barkawi.
